Has anyone out there had any experience/success printing on vellum? If so, could you share which printer and what settings. I am using an inkjet vellum paper and an Epson 2200 - have tried changing settings but still get roller marks on the paper. I don't mind changing the printer, but need to know if anyone has had a better experience. Thank you!
You're probably seeing the roller marks because the ink is not drying fast enough.
The media setting is really important on Vellum, especially when using older pigment ink sets. The plain paper setting is likely the best.
Also, you will want to slow down the printer. The 2200 has a feature to increase dry time in the paper configuration menu. Check your manual for details on that setting.
I had no idea about any of these options...I will try all of them - thank you. The print is 4 x 6 on 8.5 x 11 paper. the 4 x 6 print looks fine, but there are evenly spaced ink lines about a quarter of an inch thick radiating down from the bottom of the print edge to the bottom of the paper. Printing the same image on plain matte paper came out fine with no ink lines from bottom of print edge to bottom of paper. Any thoughts or suggestions - or if anyone has actually succeeded in making a digital print on vellum - would be greatly appreciated.
