I saw this this morning. Very very sad news By all accounts he was a very principled photographer very much on the "I'm here to photograph this because others can't see this otherwise" side of PJ.

I saw a series of shots taken just before they died in a newspaper. They were fighting house to house, room to room, and they were right in there with them.
If you have not seen Restrepo, I would suggest it strongly. Restrepo is the movie Tim Hetherington worked on and released last November. Though not for the faint of heart, it gives (from what I hear) a very accurate, albeit chilling, view of Korengal Valley day to day life.
