actually pretty good files...thanks kyle...it appears those who are new to photoshop will struggle a bit but it shouldn't take them long to learn...i see nothing really wrong with the mk2 files at all...glad you gave us the cxhance to work on them ourselves and see first hand.
I think the main idea of these was to be able to play around with the RAW files so you could see what sort of prints etc you could get out of them.
Adobe CS with the 2.2 (free) upgrade works a treat.
I'm sure most of us have a reasonable idea of how the 1Ds performs and its capabilities and limitations are well known and publicised all over the web.
It's great however being able to play around with the 1dMK II files and see how large you can get a decent print -- even at 800 ISO.
I've been very pleasantly surprised at the results I've obtained.
I think most people who try playing around with these files will be too.
My only gripe is that I might -- like others have posted as well -- also have to budget for a New Kitchen.
