Something, something, something... glass houses. Something, something... rocks.

The question mark goes outside the quote mark in this case, because the quoted phrase was not originally a question; I had a question about it.

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quotation_mark

In all major forms of English, question marks and exclamation marks are placed inside or outside quoted material depending on whether they apply to the whole sentence or just the quoted portion, but colons and semicolons are always placed outside.[19]

Did he say, “Good morning, Dave”?
No, he said, “Where are you, Dave?”

In my glass house, I don't have many stones; I do, however, have copies of The Gregg Reference Manual, The Chicago Manual of Style, and Merriam-Webster's Guide to Punctuation and Style.

THE FLASH HELMET!!!

I'd forgotten about that old masterpeice. I wonder if it could be adapted to fit an Einstein and 64" PLM?

Head straight, it's a giant, soft ring flash.
Turn head to the right or left, now it's a feathered light source that you can control the direction of!

Imagine the money we could all save on assistants!

Odd that the catchlights in the eyes don't change from the before and after shots.

Flash helmet is better because it raises the flash better duplicating the angle of natural light and produces same lighting in landscape and portrait mode. Diffusing poorly placed shadows created by flash in the hotshoe is a bit like putting a bandage over a bullet wound but leaving the bullet in place (especially in portrait mode).

All things considered a flash bracket and reflection / diffuser are more effective and practical.

And Brian, shouldn't there be a period within the quotes: Did he say, "Good morning, Dave."?

That would be logical, since in the original sentance Dave would have used a period; however the rules of grammar aren't always so logical. Using more than one ending mark in a sentence is considered to be incorrect.

I got one for macro shootings, and it's just fine. Cheaper, lighter and with a larger surface than most diffuser on the market, folds down to nothing, and it comes with a very sturdy velcro strap.

A few reviews on the web:

I got mine the other day. It's perfect for a few specific uses. Well made too. I'd be ripping on it too if it was priced like a fong-dong, but it's quite reasonable.

Adieu and ado are two diferent words from 2 different origins. Ado is middle english (norse) for fuss or bother. But then we aren't writers we're photographers

The brolly is kinda cute and the more you look at it the cooler it gets. No worse than an overpriced bleach bottle on a hotshoe flash.
