I just bought a new computer but do not want to buy Cs4, that may be replaced soon. I installed Cs3 without a hitch. But it can't read the raw(NEF) files from my D3. Adobe doesn't host Cs3 any longer. If i request any thing related to Cs3, Adobe would send me to Cs4.
So what would I do? get the Cs4 that is about to be replaced or will I I have to use the old computer to read NEF files?
Can I copy the file from the old computer and patch it on the new computer. I so, how? what would be the name of the file?
thanks ahead.

Camera Raw 4.6 was the last and final version of Camera Raw (the application that reads raw files) for CS3. The Windows version is available here or you should be able to just activate the Adobe updater inside Photoshop or Bridge and it will find it automatically.

There's a manual update for both Mac and Windows versions.
Windows version is easy to do (I dont own a mac but it looks just as easy) you just replace the .8bi file in the file formats folder

Jan,
can you please elaborate: where would I find .bi and what should I replace it with?
