For those of you that use Macs, here's an Automator action for batch processing images. I built this to size and watermark our proofs for posting. It is substantially faster than Photoshop is for the same purpose.
It does:
File type conversion (e.g., TIFF -> JPG and so on)
Stripping or including of metadata
Adjustable compression
Color space conversion (non-configurable rendering intent — it's relative colorimetric with black point compensation)
Scaling (by percentage or fit within size)
Dual watermarking (for watermark and copyright stamp if desired)
It's free. You can use it for whatever you want. I do not offer support — it is what it is.
Hmm interesting. I'm going to try this when I get home.
I've actually never had an automated watermark preset. Does this tool allow you to use a .jpeg file as a watermark? (you had no selection for watermark in the image)

Yes. You can use any image file format that Preview can open. One that supports alpha transparency such as PNG or TIFF is usually better though.
Wow I've been trying to instal this for 30 minutes and still no luck.
I ran the file you provided the link for. And its asking me to create a workflow. I selected image processor from the workflow list and saved it as an action. But now I dont know how to run it.. any help would be great. I really would like to try this tool
