Let's post your pics taken with the Nikon 14-24mm on your EOS bodies.
I just had the lens 2 days ago... looking for inspiration for the ultra wide angle shots...

Let me start the ball rolling:

I've just received Mark adapter 2 weeks ago. After waiting 6 months for the adapter, I no longer have the intention to buy the lens. So the adapter just sat on my table.... wanted to sell it locally but nobody took up my offer. So finally bought the lens out of curiosity to see how it performs.

What are you new Nikon 14-24 users doing for filters? I am not so concerned with polarizers which are not so great on WA anyway, but how about ND grads? Do you just hand hold them? Has anyone figured out a holder?

The shots are very nice, it looks like the lens is performing well. What body are they from?

I think somebody posted a solution over on DPreview but I don't have a link...

I think I could design a holder that slipped over the lens shade and had groves for one or two of the Lee sized filters. I wonder how bad it is to have the filters so far from the front element?.

This seems a problem with several UWA lenses with built in lens shades and no filter threads in front.

Guess you could resort to stacking images in Photo shop, but I find I often need to do this even when I use ND grads.

Using the lens on EOS 5D.
The adapter is very well made and fits perfectly on the Canon body. Need some practice getting use to change the aperture. Still a pain to manual focus and changing aperture.

Would be lovely for those who use the lens natively on their Nikon body with full automation!

That's what I am thinking and I am sure you have heard the rumors of the D700.

I have been using this lens since January on my 1Ds MkIII. I am sure some FMers have seen these before but for the sake of posting, here they are again:

You can use Lee filters or similar on this lens.... by just holding it in front of the lens. Of course, your setup is on a tripod and you use a cable release.

Where's the flare? Did u photoshop it away?
Here's mine with the lens fully stopped down. The flare as well as the rainbow arc is the signature the this lens.

I was his first customer and only got to receive the adapter a few weeks ago. He missed me but managed to send me one from one of his odd batch production.
From his site update, I guess he should be shipping the next batch pretty soon.

Here's one from a hike in Little Cottonwood Canyon in Salt Lake a
couple of days ago. I've made some LR adjustments and added a little LR vignetting.
Slightly cropped to remove a little unattractive lens vignetting that I am getting at 14mm in two corners. 1DsII, mark's adapter,100 ISO,1.3 seconds,14mm. I'll try to add some more over the next week. I haven't done much wide angle work or used an adapter before, so there's a learning curve for me. I am finding focusing to be a challenge, but I think that's mostly my lack of experience with this kind of shooting.
Cheers,
Scott

Re focusing wide angles, with film I used the hyperfocal distance. With digital, I find that I am much happier focusing at infinity, or if there's a lot of important foreground information maybe a tad closer, and stopping down, and letting the foreground go a little soft if necessary. I find an out of focus background makes the image looks soft, whereas a slightly out of focus foreground does not. My theory as to why hyperfocal distance doesn't work very well in digital is that we're printing images at much greater mangifications than we (I) did with film.
