We spent the weekend in Utah. It rained for 24 hours in the desert. Hard. And it snowed 8 inches at Bryce Canyon. We had hail and high winds and freezing temperatures.
Well no wonder!! Fantastic on this one as is your usual Varina. The way you captured the sun makes it look like you're getting a little wink from the heavens. Incredible shot!
Varina, I'd about given up on ever seeing anything unique from Bryce again, but you've proven me wrong. Spectacular image. Just standing there must have been a wonderful moment.
This was shot with a Canon 1Ds Mk II and Canon EF 17-40mm L series lens. I used a GND filter to bring down the sky only very slightly. 1/10 sec at f18.
That is an awesomephotograph. Is photography your job? I didn't realize.
Great conditions to be out in nature; the image captures the essence of a snowstorm in the desert. I am absolutely envious.
Excellent work, as usual. The sun is just a bit crowded by the edge of the frame, but I am not sure what extra room you may or may not have had. In any event, this is still a solid 10.
Very nicely done! I really like it with the way the sun is bursting forth combined with the snow. I have been there with snow, but haven't yet got the chance to be there when it is clearing and the sun is breaking through like that. Well done!
