Ocean's observation about the shutter noise is an important one. The 20D's loud shutter is my one pet peeve about the camera.

I know you say the 350 is too small for your hands but what about a 350+grip?

PS. I just sold my 20D for �700 so I can upgrade to a 5D (Full frame at last!!!)

PPS. I used to have a D60 and using a flash was really awful. The 20D and probably 350 is superb.

the D30 has a few big disadvantages:

-poor AF
-only 3 megapixels

those are pretty big ones! the D60 is a big step up, the 1D is really better, as is the 300D/10D, 1Ds, 350D/20D/1D2, etc...

if you can spring a D60, 1D, 300D, or 10D you'll be way, way ahead of the D30.

I just upgraded from the D30 to 20D... simply put, the D30... while a great camera is a dinosaur! I had to upgrade considering both a) the increased resolution and b) much much much much better noise performance. The d30 is so behind that I can *almost* not use it as a backup

1280 EUR @ AC-Foto, then ~1120 EUR (0% VAT) and 150 EUR cashback. But I can't order it to "our" company, so we can't reduce tax.

I'm now buying that used 10D
