I don't think they were saying that AI Servo cannot achieve focus. They were saying that it will allow you to take an OOF picture while One Shot won't.

Edit, I should add that when I say that One Shot won't allow you to take an oof picture I really mean that One Shot won't allow a picture to be taken without some sort of focus lock. I suppose the two are different aren't they?

Probably a better test would involve shooting a still subjet at 2.8 or wider.
