Hi everybody, i'm new here and thought i could post some pics as a beginning

Both taken with my stolen 10D and the 17-40mm L in Ireland.

Hello Mike,

Good light in these and fine rural scenes. A bit oversharpened, and both are much higher res (larger file sizes) than they need to be for web posting. Save For Web at 50-70% retains all the detail that can be seen on a computer monitor.

Yes, beautiful light indeed. I can't get too excited about the subject matter...a little too "ordinary" for my taste.

Ouch.. You seem to take it pretty lightly though.

As far as the shots are concerned, I have to agree with Thapamd. The pictures seem to be 'just pictures', without some main thing/object/subject to focus on.
