p.1 #1 · Tortoise Beetle Larvae

These are from the early summer. The lower magnification were photographed through my Printing Nikkor 105mm at f11 (all cropped) and the higher magnification (some cropping) was through my reversed Schneider 40mm at f16 (f22 effective due to x 1.5 TC).

I don't know why some have green faces and others have black ones.

EM-1, twin flash, hand-held.

I have only just seen this post. Gorgeous images of one of a lovely insect. I know the adults well but I don't think that I have knowingly seen the larvae.

No 1 is sensational
