I have the Astat-Nex tripod mound for the Novoflex adapters and find it fits all my other Nex adapters as well. The outside diameter of most adapters matches the rear lens cap.

Not heard this. Hopefully not the case! Waiting for Novoflex OM-Nex adapter right now and looking forward to testing out my OM 21/3.5 SC and 28/2 MC.
I like Novoflex adapters. They are not cheap but they are very well made. A big selling point for me is the universal tripod ring - great news for longer / heavier lenses.
On the topic of focusing past infinity I should have thought that all users of alternative MF lens would focus critically rather than just bang them on to hard stop infinity. I think it's asking too much of an adapter to be universal across a lens range in this manner and it is surely much better to allow focusing beyond infinity than to be short of it.

Sorry if I missed it, but what adapters are recommended? Novoflex OM to Nex? Didn't Roger user try them in his adapter tests that turned out surprisingly lousy but for unclear reasons?
I do like the tripod mount option though.

rji2goleez Those shots are great Bob, really shows what a 21/3.5 can look like on an A7r. Thanks for posting.
Atlasman2, The 100/2 is one of my favourite lenses Joseph, I think you might have a little veiling flare from the left window though, as I haven't noticed that effect with mine at F2.

The first had a very slight distortion correction. +12 in Lightroom. The second is uncorrected. If you follow the lines top and bottom, you'll see a bit of distortion from the lens. Not enough for me to worry about really.

Thanks ... I'm a believer in "the wider you go, the tougher it gets" and you have to "pick your poison" when it comes to WA/UWA. That being said, I take the Oly's vignetting over the mustache distortion, size & cost of the Zeiss UWA's.
These are pretty killer distortion torture test shots ... really diggin' em.
While the RF world is busy finding corner smearing issues on the A7R, how is the Oly doing in terms of color shift and smearing from what you can see?

Thanks! This lens is really surprising me. I owned it previously on a NEX-7, never used it enough and sold it to another FMer. With all the talk about RF UWA's, if figured this would be a good substitute. I was wrong . . . it's a great substitute!

I've been banking on the Oly's being the "small" match to the A7R ... RF's being too challenged by the angle of incidence of WA/UWA's. Would love to see how the Zuiko 18/3.5 does also.
What are your thoughts about the Oly colors / drawing style on the Sony sensor? Does the 36MP enhance any weaknesses of the Oly, or bring it more to life?

The only thing that makes the oly 'big' is that the adapter is about 3/4" long. The 21/3.5 about 2" long. It's still a very small package compared to my Canon 5DIII w/Zeiss 21/2.8 Distagon (but I love that lens).
