First I have to thank my friends Ed Robertson and Henrik Nilsson for their help. These two guys truly are wonderful friends and talented photographers. Unfortunately we couldn't meet up for the shoot

It was one heck of a day guys, one for the books!

I did promise Henrik I would toss some shots up real quick so here they are. These are just the tip of the iceberg, I got a phenomenal amount of keepers

My gosh, what an abundance of Snowies Tim. Four in one shot! I don't think I have even seen one in the wild yet.
Am trying to figure out the pose in # 1 but it looks like a yawn. Maybe you were taking too many shots of it.
Nice pose in # 3 with one wing and part of the tail showing on the left.
Fabulous pose and look in # 4 with all the feathers spread too. That's a beauty.
Lovely look and pose in the last one.
Looking forward to seeing more of the iceberg.

What a fabulous post Tim, these are lovely shots of some beautiful birds.

I think in terms of a portrait shot the last is the best, it is difficult to imagine how you could get a better portrait shot of a Snowy than this one.

No.6 is incredible. I had no idea these birds ever appeared in groups like this? Then again I've only ever seen them in a "bird of prey" centre here in the UK!

Dear GP,

Thanks for driving all the way up here JUST to meet me. I'm sorry you had to settle for these owl shots. I KNOW you're disappointed but what can you do?! Next time!!

Of course these are stunning. If I had to pick, it's gotta be #4 for me very closely followed by #6. Or the other way around.

Martin, the owls 'yawn' at times to initiate regurgitation.

And GP, now that you've shown us the tip, bring on the rest of the iceberg.

Wow Tim, what an experience to be able see these owls and then to capture the moment is priceless. I too like 4 & 6. Hope to see some more of your shots soon.

You just paid it back in spades! Amazing doesn't even touch the surface.
I think I would have had to rebreathe into a paper bag I would have been hyperventilating so much.
