Awww, how very nice! This is soooo cute. Thanks for sharing, that's just wonderful! I love the expression of the adult watching the little one practising eating.

Hi Antje,
Thanks for taking the time to reply out of your busy life with your new job. That mother sure is watching over that little chick. A week earlier I saw a Crow fly into the Stilt nesting area and soon about 50 Stilts and Avocets were dive-bombing the crow. It sure left the nesting area in a hurry.
Best regards,
Steve, great shots. Glad I had a chance to see this. You should consider shopping this around -- I've never seen shots of stilt chicks done so well in print. Well done!
What a delightful series! I particularly like #3, with the little one's bill in the water and the parent looking on. The reflections and the ripples in the water really add to the overall impression, of course!

Great work, Steve. Nice serie with a story.
Only comment that I would make it that in a serie liek this it is essential that the colors are the same in all pics. #3 and #4 have a little different color cast.
Henk,
Your reply is very kind. I will definitely fix the color cast to be the same before I print them.
Best regards,

Art,
Appreciate for your very nice compliment very much. I am glad you enjoyed the series.
Went back to that same nesting area a few times to check up on the chicks, but never saw a single chick again.

Hi Mark,
Appreciate for your compliment very much. I am glad you enjoyed the series. It looks like the Stilts manage to keep their chicks away from people.

Very nicely captured and told!

Tom,
I was very fortunate to stumble into this great opportunity. Was shooting at some other place before and was undecided on checking out this place before heading home. I am sure glad I did.
Thanks for looking and your kind reply,
