FS: Now $800 - Canon 1D Mark II 1dII 1d2

I love this camera and probably will regret selling it, but it has seen just one weekend of use this year, while my 1Ds2 got its new shutter. I kept it as a backup when I purchased the 1Ds2, and it has served its purpose well for me. But I have not used it as much as I expected to and it is a crime for such a wonderful tool to just be on a shelf - it’s time for it to move on to someone who will make better use of it.

I purchased this camera here on FM B&S in order to find out if the improvement in focus capability and the “workability” of the files was worth the additional size and weight of a 1D over the 5D classic I was using at the time. The answer was, for me, an immediate and resounding YES so I sold the 5D. But shortly thereafter a pristine 1Ds2 seduced me and then became my go-to tool, so I have only put around 2000 shutter clicks on this 1D2. The 1Dcount app shows the shutter count as 46079, which is consistent with the count I was given by the previous owner. The shutter was replaced by the previous owner about 1000 clicks before I got it. So there are only 3000 clicks on the new shutter. The camera looks like new, but for some very small scuffs on the base plate around the tripod mount and a tiny bit of wear on the flash shoe. It works perfectly – I have had no problems.

Included are the original box, charger, DC coupler, cables, strap, manuals, body cap, battery compartment cap, and a CD that I have not used because up-to-date software is downloadable from the Canon Support web site. One Canon NP-E3 battery is included, purchased in December of 2010 and on only its fourth or fifth charge. I won’t insult you by including useless, worn out batteries.

Price is $850 (Now $800) and includes regular PayPal fees (no “gifts”) and USPS Priority mail shipping within the USA with full insurance, tracking and delivery confirmation. You must have a confirmed PayPal address as I print the shipping label to that address from the PayPal web site. Packaging will be tamper-resistant and un-crushable. E-mail is OK, but I prefer PM. Thanks!
