For Sale is a EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM (Mark I) Date code UV05 (Translation: Manufactured in May 2007 in Utsunomiya, Japan)
Just got this one back from Canon. The front lens element was scratched, there was a slight wobble, the rear mount had brassing and the rubber seal had tears in it. Here is what the Service Details say: \"The front lens assembly, front ring unit, and lens mount were replaced and product functions were confirmed. Best focus and lens centering adjustments, inspection and cleaning and mechanical adjustments were carried out.\" This is just as good as new. The only things not like new are the lens hood and a few scratches in the paint. Includes a 6 month repair warranty should anything happen to what was just repaired. This lens performs almost identically optically to the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM II. Pixel peeping on my 5D mark II I honestly can\'t tell much of a difference. Only in the extreme corners does the Mark II trump its older sibling. This is a SHARP copy!!!
