the 85L is in great shape and has been very good to me.
it works perfectly, focuses fast enough to never make me worry and is always beautiful
there might be a hair thick rounded scratch on the front element, but I dont know maybe it could be cleaned off, but I never saw it until I looked it over to sell. there is in no way effect on the pictures as I never knew it was there.
there is no date code on the lens back
hood is used but not in bad shape

100 macro usm is in even better shape with the only wear on it being where the hood attaches, you can see the hood has been attached before, and the hood itself is in awesome condition
