FS: Arcatech Ballhead+Clamp C$175

Arcatech Ultimate Ballhead (Upgraded). The ballhead has served me faithfully for years. When I acquired it I took an INSTANT dislike to the OEM Arcatech clamp. The rubber-coated clamping knob was annoying and the clamp was a little TOO quick release. The slightest loosening of it could allow the plate to release.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/327810-REG/Acratech_1114_Ultimate_Ballhead_with_Quick.html

As a result, the stock clamp was replaced with metal knob, no bubble level, Kirk QR clamp which was in turn was drilled & tapped for a small \'safety stop\' screw. u]The ballhead itself was not modified in anyway.

The Kirk clamp is more like an RRS clamp as it has a finer pitch and thus a more deliberate effort to release. The safety screw is simply used if the user wants the added precaution and can be removed or inserted w/o tools by the user in 2 sec flat.

The ballhead has some notable finish wear around the neck of the ball, but it\'s purely cosmetic - all operates smoothly. A very nice & secure ballhead, with some beauty marks, for short $$.

Edit - Have dropped price to $175 net to me - what I consider my bottom limit to shift it. Baring that, I\'ll keep it as a spare.

Price is CDN $175 net to me. Shipping by Canada Post, paymnet by PP, or if in Canada, EMT. Will sell, at lower price, w/o clamp if buyer wishes to use their own clamp

Items would consider in trade +/- $$

As a result, the unit was (IMHO) \"Upgrade\". The stock clamp was chucked and an older-style (metal knob, no bubble level) Kirk QR clamp was drilled and tapped for a small \'safety stop\' screw and then adapted to fit the Arcatech Ballhead. The ballhead itself was not modified in anyway.

The Kirk clamp has an all metal knob and is more like an RRS clamp as it has a finer pitch and thus a more deliberate effort to release. The safety screw is simply used if the user wants the added precaution of a safety pin (something the Kirk lacked) to catch any camera/lens plate just in case the clamp is not tightened properly and It can be removed or inserted w/o tools by the user in 2 sec flat.

FS: CV 180/4 APO, Ballhead - Pics

Combine switching to Nikon and a lot of gear upgrade/sidegrades and, well, you get time for some house cleaning. So for sale (trade) are:

1. MINT Voigtlander 180/4 APO in AiS. Was well and truely intending to keep this lens until the cows came home, died of old age and were turned into shoes, as it\'s as sweet in all respects as it\'s 95 & 125 APO brethren. I\'d sold one before and kicked by butt ever since. BUT I stumbled across a clean 200/2 VR in Canada and need more AF Nikon glass for upcoming shoots, so...

Lens is MINT in all respects - barrel, glass and operation. Comes with factory caps and box. NO LH-75S hood (available NIB at Cameraquest for $69). Had meant to order one, but no sense doing that, marking up lens and then re-selling whole enchilada right back, in all prob, to US. Price reflects buyers need, if collector, to acquire said hood.

Price is (firm) and CDN$1200 net to me. There will be no future \"$D..\". I\'ll either change my mind and keep it or get it to **ay - before I get the chance to waffle on selling.

Shipping by buyer\'s choice of insured & tracked Canada Post Service worldwide. Payment by PP or if in Canada, EMt (save yourself 3%). Note: Unless I know you, I operate on a \"first to pay, first to play\" basis, so please bear this in mind.
