Re: Zeiss Lens Photos and Discussion (see also ZE/ZF/ZM thread)

The scale goes down to 17 cm in increments of 1 cm at the short end! But in reality you may scratch your lens with the object and still focus perfectly well. I\'ve tried it! That makes for unbelievably impressive perspectives.

Please don\'t get shocked, Philippe - I was just one more time joking. I would never dare to raid a friend without being invited in the first place. But still I would love to see you again and have some more time with you than just some two or three hours. The time spent with you and the others at our meeting and at the Zeiss thread before, even without having contributed much due to my disability, spending my time reading the thread, studying your photos and learning was extremely helpful and teaching. In fact it was one of the nicest periods in my career as a photographer.

P.S. With respect to my photo above: The plant was exposed to bare skies, so the frame was covered with highlights, some washed out without any chance of recovery. That made for extremely much work to transform the RAW into a presentable print.

But let\'s wait for the new one and try it before we decide, ok?
