I\'ve had the Nikkor and the Sigma 12-24. I like the 10-24 better.
However, there is some distortion at 10mm.
I would take the 14-24 next time if it fit in my pocket, but I think it weighs about as much as the D5100 and 10-24 together.
An interesting thing happened to me when I got my D3.
I suddenly preferred wide angle shots. I shot the 14-24 with FX camera mostly at 14mm.
Now that I am back to DX, I noticed when looking for 10mm shots, that most of my DX shots were at 24mm.
Except the ones I took at the Grand Canyon
