The \"incident with the the police was a result of a complaint of someone who asked me to deleat a images and I refused. I filed the offical complaint today so we will see how that goes.
I will say what kind of sad is that it kind of ruined one of the best street photography day ever. Part of what love about street shooting is getting out and interacting with people. And in 99 % of the times it\'s all good. However when you photograph several hundred people in anyone day the odds are...OO.
In most cases I try de-escalte but this person\'s atitude was such that I knew they where going to push it. And that\'s fie. I support his right to call the police. What is B.S is there reponse and complete and utter ignorance of what the law is. ANd the rights that we have in Canda from unlawfull search, seizer arrest and detainment by the police.
At one point a told one cop , \" better call you supervisor to let him educate in what the law is regarding street photogrpahy\"
His reponse was do you want to get arrested? I replied no I just trying to plan my day.
After 20 minutes in his car on the cell phone, I was free to continue on my way.
Reminds me of some an olld friend \"loved\" to tell the police.
I am paying your salery
Some new images I shot yesterday.
Just so we are clear, I am even more inspired to go a street shooting after this little incident.
\"stand up for your rights or someday you won\'t have any\"
As far as the Lecia M3, I often use my 35 1.4 Summilux on this camera and it works great. While it\'s true the view finder is somewhat cut off I have never found this to be a to much of a bother.
Check out the Rangefinder forum 35 mm Pre ASPH thread for plenty of sample images on Leica Film.

After talking this image this guy looked over at me and I said hello. I found out that he had just lost his father and was making funeral plans on cell over his break.
Very sad.
He was a nice guy and glad we got to talk for a little while.
