Re: ZE/ZF/ZM Images (Official Thread!)

Piere, Boris, Carsten : Thank you !

Boris: Agreed. 10 days should be enough to get good coverage. Have fun !
Bob: #3 & #4 would be my picks. Very nice.
Lars: 4th pic: the expression on the guy is interesting! Wonder what he was thinking when you
were clicking the pic. Well framed!
sangdabom73: Another vote for #1 and I also like #2 & #3 too [I like Aspen trees!]

Carsten:
Wow Abhijeeth, that first shot is stunning!

I have such regrets when I think of all the beautiful places I went before I really got into photography, and all the missed opportunities. Now, with a family and child, I have so few opportunities, and mostly inside Berlin. Back in \'90 I went on a motorcycle trip with a friend, from Toronto to Ottawa to Calgary to Vancouver, and Vancouver Island. Then we went down through the Hoh Rainforest, and down the coastal highway, through San Francisco and down to Los Angeles. Then inland, through the desert and Death Valley, over the Hoover Dam, through Arizona and up through the Painted Desert and up to Salt Lake City. Then in through Colorado, over Estes Park, and then down past all the flat bits and back through Detroit to Toronto. I had an Olympus, either OM-2 or OM-4, I don\'t recall, and shot colour negative film, although I don\'t recall which. I would love to do that trip again, although I am not sure if my butt would take the punishment again We covered about 500km a day, on average. Total: 37 days, 19.000km. Awesome trip. I have to scan the negatives and see what I\'ve got.

I know some aspects of what you are referring to and share a similar feeling. I guess many people can relate to that.

I have visited places when I didn\'t have my 5d2 or ZE glass or when I was starting this hobby with a Panasonic FZ20. Now I want to go to all those places again with the combo I have now !

Anyway, your 90\'s journey does sound like an epic road trip! I am assuming you also rode through Oregon as well en route from Washington to California? It is diverse & beautiful and I am yet to do a proper visit. I was particularly amused when you said \"...then down past all the flat bits \" I won\'t guess those places even though I can estimate from your route!! And also looks like you have covered many segments of the old \"Route 66\"!

Do post those scans here (if possible), it\'ll surely be fun.

I know some aspects of what you are referring to and share a similar feeling.First there is the thing of \"so many beautiful places, so little time\". Second is the photography part of it, especially since everyone keeps learning & improving over time (along with getting better equipment!). Then there might be many other responsibilities [both at work and at home]. So, I guess many people can relate to that.

I have visited places when I didn\'t have my 5d2 or ZE glass or when I was starting this hobby with a Panasonic FZ20. Now I want to go to all those places again with the combo I have now !
