nice stuff from this lens. I recently picked one up as well, the price was right for this great piece of glass. I shoot a lot of adventure sports images and usually lug around the 70-200mm vr1, while beautiful it also gets a bit heavy. I tried the 70-300 VR and was impressed with the quality and the way it handled. This lens an both my Nikon af 17-35mm and Nikon MF 55mm macro has become my kit for hikes and water adventures now.
