Re: #437 Crystal Blue

Because I had fun doing this, here are my notes about the setup.

Points to remember:
1. My wife insists that there is no money in the budget for my \"hobbies\"
2. Necessity is the mother of invention.

Equipment Used:
1. Sheet of glass from a picture frame
(note to self: put the picture back before the wife notices that it is missing)
2. 4 boxes of Fiber Plus bars
3. 1 old tin can
4. 2 \"clamp\" lights (Home Depot)
5. 1 back of wood shims (Home Depot)
6. Half a package of hamburger buns
7. 1 sheet black construction paper
8. Bag of black sand
9. Handful of \"clear\" rock crystals

Method:
1. With the glass \"shooting table\" resting on the \"props\", I setup a colored light inside the can and propped it up under the glass with shims.
2. I added a second colored light under the glass and propped it at the correct angle by utilizing the half empty bag of hamburger buns.
3. I covered the glass with black sand and artfully placed the rocks.
4. I set up the tripod and camera then turned off all the lights in the room and started snapping away.

Final Notes:
My \"studio\" for the setup, is actually just a counter by the refrigerator in the basement.
