I\'m testing how well the thumbs up works for adding stabilization. I took a shot (rather boring sorry) at 1/13 , 5.6, 200. Some of you may recall the trouble I was having hand holding at lower ss.
I didn\'t sharpen this as much as some others.. and I went just a touch too heavy on the clarity slider (dark halo lower left building).. however with taught neckstrap and the thumbs up, I feel 1/13 is pretty respectable for this cam (in zombie mode). I\'ll be trying a more scientific test in good light, when I have a bit more time. The x1 may be all I can take to the grand canyon this weekend (if we can go, have to check snow).
Anyway, it\'s pedantic, but it\'s progress for low ss hand holding for me.. so I\'ll share. The repaired x1 sure is a lot sharper than the out of box experience.. I just wish they\'d release the bloody firmware update and address some speed.
This cam, macbook air, firmware update.. should be a wicked travel combo.
