This lens is actually pretty soft at f/1.4 actually. Me and a friend that owns a 5dmk2 with a canon 35mm f/1.4 did a couple of comparison shots and it blew mine outta the water. Made me thing mine was a bad copy, but after going online and looking at other full resolution f/1.4 shots with the nikon 35mm, mine were pretty similar to what I saw.
The new 24mm f/1.4 is much sharper wide open, but I find this focal length more usable so I won\'t be switching to 24.
