Sounds very much like \"The Princess and the Pea\" to me.

Paul, glad to see that you are reading fine Europen classics as opposed to watching TV or chatting on Twitter.

I do watch TV, of course (evidenced by another thread) but I try to strike a good balance between that and a whole range of literature. I\'m currently having a good laugh at Dawkins\' infantile diatribe \"The God Delusion\", while I simultaneously research allotment gardening, guitar, speed reading, string theory, kefir, and studying for my PAL and OHEP. Gonna git me a gun!

Please don\'t become an American, Paul, if you know thy God.....don\'t git a gun.
Try kefir instead. It is strongly probiotic, splendid taste and a great digestive regulator. Costco carries tubs of pretty good quality kefir very cheap.

Oh, I\'ve already started making my own kefir. Got some \'grains\' from a comrade of the former Soviet Union. Been doing it for a few weeks now. Grains have grown enough for me to gift some to my mother and a friend already. Miraculous stuff. The research continues, nevertheless. Next up is kefir butter and kefir cheese.

Getting a gun because I love venison and I love to know where my meat comes from. No more of that CAFO meat for my family. Not ever. Hunting will be an essential skill again some day, sooner than anyone thinks. Mark my words.

Re: God. Don\'t get me started. Seriously. I\'ll surely offend both atheists and theists alike with my pantheist declarations of Truth.

BTW, yes the EF 85/1.2 has shit-slow AF.

OK, I see that you are making your own stuff.....then you shouldn`t need Costco.
I only hope that your hunter-gatherer efforts do not make you go after my stunt ducks......I need those for my photography.
I think we all look at the same old universe....just that the pantheists do it thru an UWA lens.
As far as 85 f1.2 AF drive speed is concerned, it is the slowest of all Canon non-macro lenses. However, that has never really caused me to lose many keepers. It is what it is and one makes the best of it.
I am much more concerned about its CA behaviour, but I guess that is a different topic.
