I think you\'re going to like it - the Canon is a good all around travel lens. I use the 35-70 for landscape mostly - for the size/weight and dollar spent with prime like quality it\'s a very good value. Focusing and filtering may have a little learning curve - do a few tests to check infinity settings and hyper focal & you\'re god to go. The macro is actually pretty good - nice blur at f4 and stops down very well. Post some pics!
