My experience with M645 adapters is they have a lever inside to stop down Mamiya lenses even if they are set to the \"A\" mode. Which is a pity, since the A/M switch works like a preset mechanism on DSLRs.
Well I\'ll be damned.....you are right. When I got my first M645 lens I took it out of the box and couldn\'t get aperture control without setting the switch to \"M\". I hadn\'t really noticed the little lever in the adapter and everything worked fine with all lenses set to \"M\" so I didn\'t give it any more thought.
I stand corrected. The switch position makes no difference when using an adapter with the stop down lever (which I would assume they all do).
