Of course I would try out this lens before buying, but if I decide to go the superwide route, one of my friends brought up a thought that I feel I must address. He said that I\'m trying to put a screw into a piece of wood with a hammer. Meaning: the Leica isn\'t meant for a lens that wide as the viewfinder does not go that wide, and an external viewfinder wouldn\'t be rangefinder calibrated.

Kyle, I don\'t have a superwide on the M8 yet, but I\'m sure you can find a lot of very technical answers in the Rangefinder and Leica User forum. If you really want to compare lenses, check out Sean Reid\'s subscription site. He has all the wide angle lenses covered for the M8 & M9 and I find the reviews very good and objective.
