The 50 Lux R is near mint condition. The only signs of use are some minor pain loss on the under-side of the aperture ring. Aside from the paint wear, the lens in in mint condition. Focus is smooth and the aperture ring clicks cleanly from stop to stop. There are no scratches or marks of any kind on the lenses. Holding the lens up a desk lamp I do not see any dust. The 50 Lux R is sharp at F1.4 with a very nice bokeh, and at F5.6 the resolution is the best I\'ve seen in a 50mm lens.
I am selling the lens because my eyes are getting older and \"seeing\" focus at F1.4 is getting more and more difficult. I like the 50 Lux R better than the Contax 50N, with the N\'s auto-focus it is a more practical lens for me. The sale includes the lens, original front and rear Leica caps and the original lens pouch. If the buyer would like to add the Leitax adapter, they can do so. The Leitax adapter has the Dandelion focus confirmation chip installed and set-up for \"50mm\" and \"F1.4\".
FYI - I have no clearance issues on the 1Ds Mark III, and of course it works fine on the 7D.
