FS: (CAN) Canon 28/1.8 85/1.8 70-200/4L & much more | |
I switched to Pentax a couple of years ago and I almost never use my Canon gear anymore. I’ll be keeping my absolute favourite Canon lenses which aren’t easily replicated in the Pentax line, but otherwise it’s time to sell off a lot of camera gear which I no longer use.
All of the lenses’ switches, zoom rings and focussing rings work perfectly well. All electrical contacts, autofocus, etc. are flawless. All lenses come with both end caps and I’m a firm believer in lens hoods so they all come with appropriate Canon lens hoods too.
All prices are in Canadian Dollars for Canadians, US Dollars for US or international. Yes, I’m giving Canadians a small break, but then again it’s less hassle to deal with domestic transactions than international.

Lenses
PENDING Canon EF 28mm f/1.8 USM $410 PENDING
Bought brand new and used very little. Comes with both caps and EW-63II lens hood. The lens looks new and there are just a few smoothed out patches on the hood from holding it. Comes complete with box, papers etc.
SOLD Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM $320 SOLD
Kills me to sell this lens, but with my Pentax 70/2.4 being so much smaller and lighter, along with in body stabilization, I just don’t use this lens any more. I bought this used off FM forums a few years ago and it arrived looking so new I don’t think the previous owner ever took it out of its box. The lens comes with the ET-65III hood and both caps. The lens is still in like new condition. The hood has the usual minor scuffs on the outside. A real gem. Comes complete with box, papers etc.
Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0L USM (non IS version) $475
Barrel has a few very minor marks on it. Front element has some very minor scuffs in the anti-reflective coating, but not deep enough to scratch the glass. I’ve never noticed any effect on any photos. Comes with both caps and the ET-74 hood. Lens hood has usual minor scuffs/scratches on outside. Bought used here on FM, has box but no papers. The Styrofoam end pieces in the box don’t fit the lens properly so I’m not whether the previous owner sent me the right stuff. All that said, the lens itself is awesome and if you’ve never used a 70-200/f4L before here’s a bargain and a treat. Oh, and as an added bonus, I’ll throw in a 67mm Hoya UV filter with HMC coating with the lens. I got it when I bought the lens and never used it. I belong to the lens hoods for protection rather than filters camp.
Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM $190
I purchased this new in about 2000. Comes with EW-78BII lens hood and both caps. Also includes the manual and box. Minor signs of wear on lens barrel, average wear on lens hood. This lens has a well-earned reputation as a dust vacuum; I’d estimate 20-30 specs inside the front element. Most are barely visible; two are obvious small white spots. There are no large pieces of dust. The usual blah, blah about no effect on picture quality. Discounted because of dust in front element.
Canon EF 100-300mm f/5.6L $290
One of Canon’s earlier L zooms, I quite enjoyed using this lens for its small(ish) size and excellent optics. I am the original owner. It is a push-pull zoom which does suffer from lens creep when aimed up or down. I’ve found an elastic band to be helpful with that “feature”. Its focussing is slower than the modern USM lenses. I haven’t used it in years, after acquiring the 70-200/4L and 400/5.6L but if you’re looking for an affordable, small, lightweight, high quality optics in this focal length for relatively static objects (limited by 5.6 aperture and slowish AF) then this lens represents an excellent value. A couple of scuffs on the lens barrel, but otherwise in excellent condition. Comes with a ET-62II lens hood, both lens caps, box and case.
Cameras
Canon EOS 650 $30
One of the cameras that got the whole EOS revolution started. Minor body scuffs. The rubber on the eyepiece is falling apart. Takes a 2CR5 battery but I no longer have one. Worked fine the last I used it but that was probably for a meteor shower 8 or 9 years ago. Comes with the users’ manual and body cap. It was my first SLR and was given to me by dad who was tired of my “borrowing” his Olympus OM-1.
Canon EOS Elan 7E $60
Moderate amount of scuffing on the body but works great. No batteries but comes with manual and body cap.
SOLD Canon EOS 20D [broken] Free + S/H SOLD
Fell a little ways down a cliff and caused a couple of the lights in the display in the viewfinder to no longer work (top LCD panel works fine though) and also cracked the case by the battery door so that the battery door no longer stays closed on its own but works fine with strong elastic and/or tape (I’ve included the elastic tape I use which works perfectly well). I also recall some stubborn dust on the sensor that I couldn’t get off, although others may have better luck. Otherwise the camera works fine. It comes with everything (manuals, strap, USB cable, quick reference card, CDs with software, box, etc.) except the battery charger and battery (left in a hotel room, oops). I throw this out there in case someone needs the box, manuals, etc. or has a need for this body for some reason. If it doesn’t sell here it’s going in the trash. Free to a good home (you still pay shipping costs).
Misc
SOLD Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set DG (12, 20 & 36mm tubes) for Canon EOS Digital and Film Cameras $95 SOLD
Excellent shape with both end caps.
Canon Ed Anti-Fog Eyepiece for EOS 3, A2, A2E, Elan II/E & Elan 7 Series Cameras $15
Bought for a planned trip to Costa Rica that never happened. Never used although I see I’ve left a fingerprint on it somehow. Comes with its case. From B&H’s description: “the Anti-Fog eyepiece uses specially treated advanced-process glass, which prevents condensation or fogging. Designed for use in warm and humid or cold weather, when fogging is most likely to occur”.
SOLD Epson 2200 Ink Cartridges Free + S/H SOLD
My Espon 2200 died a few years ago and I still have a lot of spare ink cartridges left. I can’t bear to throw them out so if you pay shipping, the whole lot of them is yours. I’m not interested in breaking these up since they’re going for free. Here’s the count:
T034120 Photo Black Cartridge (1 unit - use before 12/06)
T034220 Cyan Cartridge (2 units - use before 03/07; 1 unit – use before 05/07)
T034320 Magenta Cartridge (1 unit - use before 07/07; 1 unit – use before 11/08)
T034420 Yellow Cartridge (3 units - use before 12/08)
T034520 Light Cyan Cartridge (3 units - use before 02/07; 1 unit – use before 03/07)
T034620 Light Magenta Cartridge (3 units - use before 03/07)
T034720 Light Black Cartridge (2 units - use before 11/08)
T034820 Matte Black Cartridge (2 units - use before 02/07)
As you can plainly see, they’re all past the Use Before date but they’re all are still sealed in their original packaging and have been stored at room temperature. I doubt there’s anything wrong with them but the purchaser assumes the responsibility if anything does go wrong using them; after all, you’re getting them for free + the cost of S/H. All were purchased either at B&H Photo Video or else at InkJetArt.com and have the Genuine EPSON Colour Shifting Label still on them. Free to a good home (you still pay shipping costs).
Really Right Stuff B20DL $60
L-Plate for Canon 20D without grip. In excellent condition – seriously, how could you damage one of these things!?
Trade Items I’d Consider
I’m primarily looking to sell this gear, but I’ll consider the following Pentax lenses in trade: smc DA* 16-50mm f/2.8 ED AL (IF) SDM; smc DA* 50-135mm f/2.8 ED AL (IF) SDM; smc DA* 300mm f/4.0 ED AL (IF) SDM; smc DA* 200mm f/2.8 ED AL (IF) SDM and/or smc PENTAX DA 15mm F4 ED AL Limited. The lenses would have to be in like new or better condition with no hint of SDM problems. I’d also take a Really Right Stuff BK7-L L-Plate for Pentax K7 without grip in trade.
