Re: ZE/ZF/ZM Images (Official Thread!)

Yes, wonderful portraits and wow those are some cool macros.

A few images from this evening. Very clear summer days here in Homer, Alaska. This is probably the fifth sunny day this summer!

I am working on an old laptop with a trial version of Lightroom. If you see radioactive colors or other obvious issues, let me know. Looks like flickr is messing up with image sizes . If anyone is interested in larger images, here is my flickr link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ajaykrc/

1. I took a ride on this boat to go to Seldovia, AK (a small fishing village) at the northern edge of the North Pacific ocean.

2. Tallest mountain in N. America in far BG. I had to fight my one year old to get a few minutes in the window seat. The mountain in the center is Mt. McKinley, about 250 mi from the plane. And to the left is Mt. Hunter. I am surprised how well the outlines of the mountains are captured. Sorry about the rather poor image quality. I was trying to keep the one year old away from the lens and the window was very smeared.

3. Alaskan terrain. Chugach State Park, SE Alaska. Shot from a plane window again. Sorry about the poor image quality.

4. Harbor, Homer AK. Summer days are long in most parts of Alaska. I shot this scene around 9:50 pm. There are three glaciers visible in the far background.

5. Twilight, around 10:20 pm. Subtle hues caught my eye. I am not sure if LR messed up with those colors. Blue lakes are quite common here.
