Thanks Dave! I\'m not worried about that at all, I\'m sure Paul would have considered the consequences of doing that.
What I\'m looking forward to most in these units is for a project that I\'ve been geared up for for a while, and only these can handle it, involving a 1D at 8FPS and 1/2000 and a couple lights at 20-40ws with high efficiency reflectors on them, each running off a VB2 (the Aims 180 doesn\'t recycle fast enough). No other portable light on the market can do faster than 1/2000 t.1 at 20-40ws and 8fps.
Kenyee, I pre-ordered 2 AB Max 640\'s when they were first announced (which is why I\'m #1), and then I added another 3 Einsteins to my pre-order when Einsteins were announced. I bought the 2 today with transceivers and if they work well, I\'ll buy the other 3 when my next pre-order number comes up.
Congratulations Bacilonur - sincerely. A quick bit of math indicates you should be able to get 8fps at about 40WS with a t.1 of 1/10,000 in action mode. The reflector code named Luap Supreme will by available in about 30 days can produce around f16 ISO 100 with 40WS at 10\' . . . maybe a bit more, albeit at a very narrow angle, or can be focused for wider coverage at lower output. More on this soon. This is not your grandfather\'s reflector. It\'s in production now.
I know - Luap, quit talking about stuff before its ready . . . one day I\'ll write a book about why Einstein took so long.
We very carefully tested 15 units today - one was rejected, the other 14 were within +/- 1/10f over the entire power range, including modeling lamp, at 120V and 240V in action and color modes. In color mode, they were 5600°K +/- 50°. Production and shipping with ramp up from here.
