In my humble opinion the shutter count does not tell much other than this shutter is a good unit and that it very likely (true in this case) that it was not abused. The shutter on this model is rated Mean Time Between Failures for 200K actuations but that is an average estimation, not the maximum guaranteed shutter life or anything like that. Shutters are not like timing belts on interference engines: you don\'t replace the timing belt at the right mileage and you may get your engine destroyed. No, that 200K only tells what an estimated average life a shutter like this may likely encounter between two repairs. Replacing a shutter \"preventively\" when the shutter works fine does not make sense, IMHO. It is possible the older shutter may have lasted for much more than the new shutter will last. 1D shutters can fail at any count, after the first couple of thousands or close to one million frames. And if the worst happens and a shutter fails, that is a routine service repair and - unless the photographer continues to shoot way after the shutter starts failing (which is obvious) - the cost of the replacement is a tiny fraction of the original price on these cameras. My 2c on the matter, anyone please feel free to disagree

Buyers from US and other countries are welcome. I am willing to ship anywhere where Canada Post/USPS or FedEx reach The asking price is 1,100 USD and the buyer pays insured shipping extra.
For whom cannot meet me or ask a friend in (or passing through) Ottawa to meet with me I suggest that payment be made via wire transfer/SWIFT between our banks. Regardless of the actual payment method chosen I need to confirm the funds transfer before shipping.
