FS: Canon 1D Mark II N [Mint 'high' mileage] | |
I am selling a Canon EOS 1D Mark II N.
Camera is in exceptional condition, inside and out (see photos). It was used mostly indoors and babied. There are no scratches, scuffs, cracks or dents on the body or the LCD covers, all covers are in place, etc. Everything functions as-new and nothing is missing or broken. Camera never needed repair. 279,554 clicks so far on the original shutter (this is an accurate reading with CanCount) and still going strong. Exceptional image quality, AF performance as well as battery life, and what is more important: consistent results in all situations, this is a superb professional tool not limited to use only by professionals.
I am the original owner and I purchased it new from B&H in September 2005. The only reason I am selling it now is that I upgraded to a 1D Mark IV and for my kind of shooting (I am not a pro) I do not need a second 1D body for backup.
The sale includes a second genuine Canon NP-E3 battery bought new from B&H in October 2009. The original NP-E3 battery, also included in the sale, still holds a good charge and can be used as a backup.
The original box and all its contents are included in the sale with the camera body and the additional Canon battery, except only the Canon neck strap:
• On camera: eyecup (perfect shape), body cap, battery compartment cap.
• Two Ni-MH NP-E3 batteries, with their protective cover caps.
• NC-E2 dual Ni-MH battery charger
• DCK-E1 DC coupler kit (never used)
• Interface cables: USB and Firewire, video cable
• EOS Digital Solution Disk CD
• Software Instruction Manual CD
• Pocket Guide (English and Spanish)
• Instruction manual (English and Spanish)
• Warranty card (not filled)
The current asking price is $1,100 (CAD for a Canadian sale, USD otherwise) including insured express shipping through Canada Post XpressPost to anywhere in Canada and the United States. Shipping by courier service (such as FedEx) is avaliable and may require an additonal cost (contact me with your city, state and ZIP code for an accurate quote).
Or you can pay me net $1,050 and pay insured shipping of your choice.
If you (or a friend/relative that you can personally delegate) can meet me locally in the Ottawa (Ontario, Canada) area you will have the chance to see and try the camera if you will like (you may want to bring a lens of your choice and a CF or SD card with you). The cash price in this case is 1,050 CAD
As method of payment I accept cash or certified check (for local sale), Interac EMT (safe and secure for both parties, this is now my preferred method; a very easy to use service available through all major Canadian banks), USPS International Money Order (US) or similar. I ask to receive and confirm payment before shipping. No PayPal.
If PayPal is a concern, please note I have not used PayPal for any of my sales on this board and all were completed exceptionally well. Each one of the buyers I had the pleasure to do business with was delighted with their purchase. Please feel free to PM/e-mail me or contact them directly for references.
If the shutter count is a concern, note this low price for this camera in its excellent condition was set to cover the buyer in the unexpected case the shutter will have to be replaced. A 1D Mark II N in the same condition but with a low shutter count would currently be at least $1,300. That will get you $200 - $250 room for an eventual shutter replacement in the near future (cost may be somewhere between $150 - $300). Having said this please note that the \'shutter life\' published by Canon is only an average estimate (MTBF most likely) and not an actual maximum shutter life. 1D series shutters are known to last over 500,000 or even 1 million frames.
Photos of the camera for sale taken the day this listing was made are available here (note: no battery, just the cap appears in these photos). Greater resolution versions of the same photos shown here and/or additional photos of the camera or taken with the camera are available upon request.
This sale is available only for Canada and US.
Thanks,
Marius
