The reveal probably \'broke some hearts\' with some contemporary glass in the mix. But, I found simliar results with my Oly 100/2 and the Canon 100/2 comparisons ... letting the Oly go.
Decades of mass production have in a few instances managed to become very equitable with masterful craftsmanship. Often times the craftsmanship wins our hearts in IQ, uniqueness and cost effectiveness ... yet, when it goes the other way, the \'romance\' of a performer can be a little lackluster, particularly for those who have a bit of nostalgia in their veins.
The 70-200 f4 IS has excellent test marks elsewhere ... very nice to see how it stacks up in \'real world\' with some alt glass ... essentially confirming the otherwise \'clinical data\' presented elsewhere.
