Here is the thing. If Canon were to produce a 200-400/4 they would moist certainly discontinue the 100-400, a lens that still sells very well and is relatively affordable for a larger number of people. I don\'t have the numbers but if I had to guess I\'d say that the 100-400, a $1500 lens, would outsell a 5-6K 200-400. Don\'t get me wrong I\'d love to see a 200-400/4, I\'m just looking at things from another perspective.
