Both 24/1.4 and 16-35/4 VR2 have now been officially announced. And yes, the 16-35 does have VR II and will take 77mm filters. Looking for pricing info... praying...
Edit: Clearly my pricing ideas were wrong. $1360 for the zoom, $2200 for the prime. About 11 ounces (32%) lighter than the 14-24.
