10, Take a spring (any FD has two), shorten it and adjust the two ends if necessary. Fix one end on the back of the lens by one of the existing screw, and hook the other end on to the aperture control fork.



11. Trim the front face of the M42 adapter to remove most of the ridges on its surface (~1.33mm)



12. Trim the light baffle to ~1.21mm (the total thickness of light baffle + M42 adapter should be ~2.5mm)

13. Assembly and test the lens on the camera for infinity. Trim or shim if necessary.

14. Measure the distance between the aperture ring and the M42 adapter.



15. Cut the breech lock ring accordingly and use it as a cover after the aperture ring.



16. Glue the ring to the M42 adapter, blacken the parts and assembly.
