I was thinking that, in the past, I only upgraded my cameras when I was really up the wall over some particular feature that was either annoying or lacking. For instance; I went to F100 bodies from F3 bodies because the F3 flash sync speed of only 1/80 became a major annoyance and the fact that it was not AF. I also wanted a hot shoe and I wanted AF.
I went from a pair of D70s bodies to D300 bodies because of the larger preview screen on the D300 and the fact that the SB-800 flash units never worked right for me with the D70s bodies. The SB-800 works much better with the D300 bodies.
What \"forced \" you to upgrade your camera body and did you regret it? Sometimes those \"old\" camera bodies are like old friends and are missed when they are gone.
