I am going back to the 5d Mark ii for FF and thus I am selling my 7d and the last of my EF-S lenses.
Both are quite new. I was in the first shipment of 7d\'s and I have applied both of the firmware updates.
My experience with the camera has been positive but learning the new focussing modes is indeed a challenge. One thing I have learned for sure is thus: do NOT use spot focus UNLESS the area under the spot has good contrast. Otherwise you may have uneven results. You would be better off using single spot to alleviate the issue. As for high ISO noise, it was certainly higher than FF but compared favorably to the other APS-c sensors. Other than that I really loved this camera except for the lack of Full Frame. (Clicks on the 7d still in the low single thousands but don\'t know for sure)
Two final things. At the bottom of the 7d\'s LCD (see photo below) there appears to be scratches on it but there aren\'t. It was just dry streaks from a careless cleaning job. Also, I don\'t warrant the condition of the sensor as to dirt. I can only say I did not notice anything on the higher f-stop pictures I took.
As for the lens, the new one is a really nice replacement for the 17-85 lens. It was MUCH better in sharpness and color. I hope Canon retires the old lens and concentrates on this one. SOLD!
Prices: $1500 for the camera and 550 for the lens. Shipping included.
Paypal regular only (need to see your CONFIRMED address), Lower 48 only, Ship by UPS 2 days. (I will ship to AK or HI via USPS Priority) SIGNATURE WILL BE REQUIRED for either.)
Please PM and reply to the list, if interested.
