Trust me, it takes alot to break the mount of a camera. In the worst case, the fins holding the lens in will snap off as they are designed to in an effort to minimize damage.
A lens-side mounting ring is held down by a few screws and is cheap to replace, the camera mount isn\'t.
oh yeah, the camera in the above pic is a 1D mark II with some sort of 400/500mm L ... attached?
