Questions:

I cannot find the Zeiss lens anywhere, looked it up (didn\'t know about it before) and at least one poster said it had worse contrast and sharpness then the 24-105. Thoughts?

Which Zeiss? The 24-85? They\'re not too hard to find used (it\'s not produced anymore) in the C/Y mount. Sharpness and contrast aren\'t a problem for the lens, but if you don\'t like the looks of Zeiss wide angle primes, particularly in the corner, that will go double for this lens between 24 and 50. The 35-70 is a little gem and is also fairly easy to come by used. The added macro function is handy. I disagree that you\'ll see improved contrast on the 24-105. Sharpness depends on what you\'re shooting and how you\'re doing it simply because of the IS, but with good light and normal shutter speeds, I think either Zeiss has the advantage.

How easy is it to convert Olympus lenses (which are fantastic and has often made me wish for a better Olympus body) into canon mounts? Can the same be done with Pentax?

There are good adapters available for both. I don\'t think there\'s an Oly OM prime that can\'t be adapted. Pentax lenses depend on the mount and the lens, but M42, PK, and PK-A are typically possible with some possible extra work necessary.
