Let\'s cut out the thinly-veiled attacks at the parenting skills of others. If you can\'t contribute positively to the discussion...
KEEP YOUR DAMN LIPS CLOSED AND YOUR KEYBOARD STILL!

And who made you all of our parents? People complain about kids that live like pigs because they lack control over them, and you are going to tell a bunch of people on an internet forum to behave!! That is ripe or you are one hell of a comedian. If people don\'t like the comments about their parenting, they shouldn\'t post things like this on an internet forum.
I don\'t put up with that kind of BS from my kids. Their rooms don\'t have to be perfect, not by a long shot, but clothes all over the floor and un-made beds are just not tolerated, I don\'t give a dam how old they are. You live in my house, it\'s my rules. Clean room, every day + chores. No telephone, TV or internet in the room (computers are allowed for home work). What I see in some of these room photos are just plain unnecessary.
To each their own.
I am in complete agreement with Andre on this. Very well said. Our house needs to be kept neat and clean the way we want it. As long as our kids stay in the house it will be per our basic standards of keeping things neat and clean. Our kids are supposed to make their beds before they come out of their rooms each morning, plus no clothes anywhere else in their rooms except the closet or drawers or in the laundry basket. Our daughter who has now graduated from college thanks us for putting our foot down when it came to keeping her rooms neat and clean. She had a tough time dealing with her sloppy room mates in her college dorm and appreciated our efforts even more. This is not an attack on anybody\'s parenting skills but just pointing out the fact that if you let your kids continue to make a mess of their rooms without consequences their rooms will always look like a bomb has gone off in their rooms. It is your house so nobody else has to deal with that mess but you. Also what is the point of posting pictures of kids\' messy rooms where, besides documenting the mess, there is no other pictorial value to the images where other forum members can offer any comments.
