A few post processed cropped 7D shots from last night during a late cold and wet evening in a parking lot. The 70-200 didn\'t have enough reach from the spectator area, so cropping was needed. The entire night was done at 6400 due to the lighting. In the end, the parents cannot tell the ones I did last year with the MKIII from the 7D, and really it is the clients\' opinions that matter, not some self-induced form of OCD that many people seem to have.
Yes the MKIII is better than the 7D, but the gap has been lessened quite a bit. And what is extremely funny is that the next 1D that comes along will have quite a bit of the 7D in it, just better. Then maybe the bickering will stop.
Along the way, I tried to get this scenic shot with the 17-55, probably should have pulled out the 12-24. Obviously this is not ISO 6400, I think it was 200 or 400. Bracketed shot run through CS3\'s bad HDR merge. Too much DR for just one shot without any ND filters.
