Exactly. In fact, when I look at the coatings on the 85/1.4, I see the typical MC rainbow of colour mentioned by pdmphoto. One can never evaluate coatings visually, and certainly never from a photograph.
In the short time that I have owned it, I have subjected it to all sorts of harsh lighting conditions and it has performed flawlessly, even with bright light sources in the frame.
I can\'t imagine they would put lesser quality coatings on the 14mm. If anything, they would make more of an effort since UWAs are more subject to flare.
