I\'d be interested to learn more about directional microphones too, as I\'d also like to shoot wildlife. I did go ahead and buy the Rode Stereo Videomic, but I don\'t believe it will work well for distant sounds.
We also need to have Magic Lantern ported from the 5Dmk2 to the 7D so that we can get around the current AGC limitation.
Keep us posted on what you learn about directional mics.
