Re: The Monaco Optix XR and Vista

I am using Optix XR with Vista 64. Calibration and profiling are excellent on my Lacie CRT monitor. I could not calibrate my Dell 2209WA with it, but I could profile it (once the black and white points were set, color profiling was easy). I have the link at home for the work around. Let me know if you need it.

Make sure you delete any gamma loaders supplied by Adobe or supplied by your video card.

It appears that Vista overrides the calibrated profile soon after start-up. I used this program to delay the loading of my Optix XR profile for 15 seconds after start-up. It solved the problem. You just drill down through your program files until you get to the gamma loader.

I also put a shortcut to the gamma loader on the desktop like this (Vista 64):

Go to computer> C-Drive> Program Files (x86)> Monaco Systems>Monaco OPTIX2.0>MonacoGamma>Right click and add a shortcut to the desktop

If I lose the profile, it will be easy to reload it.
